I have lost my remote access to my school's Reuters terminal for drawing charts, and I currently do not have any decent programs to do so; therefore, I have to stop posting. This blog will remain as educational purpose.

Need to catch up

Finally I am back at Hong Kong and would continue my dissertation here. As I didn't spend much time on stock market last week, it should be better for me to catch up with stuff this week before posting any analysis. Good luck to all of you.

Volatility breakout? (2012-06-27 VIX analysis)

Above is the daily chart of volatility index (VIX). There will be a break soon, we have to keep on looking at whether it is going up or down. Given that there will be loads of economic data coming out next few days, I believe the chance for breaking out would be higher.

I'm going back to Hong Kong tomorrow and therefore I might not be able to update the blog for two days.

Exam Week!!!!

This week will be my exam week with three examinations, so this blog has to be temporarily suspended for a week again. Sorry for not being able to update and I will be back next week.

Annoying Network in Lonodn

The wireless in the University and my residence really makes me angry! I could not get access to the internet in my room and the wireless often disconnects in the University!

Sorry I could only start posting my analysis when everything settles down...

HSI rose 6.48 points today to 21977.34. As I could not get onto my charting software due to the unstable network, I would try to use some of my imagination. The index breaks the triangle on weekly chart, but today shows that people are also taking profits as they might believe there would be corrections afterwards. However, my view is quite optimistic. Having no big drop today shows that the power of full is still strong enough, as normal people would choose to sell at this point rather than having the courage to buy. It is the new 5-month high anyway.

I will keep an eye on both ICBC and 0716.HK. Hopefully the network would be fine few days later...

JPHK Update (2010-09-07)

Finally I see a green light there. But 1228.HK really pissed me off. It's really hard to understand what the tapes suggest and why the corporate investors are doing so.

Anyway, I will be going on a trip to Taiwan for 4 days. I would keep updating my portfolio every night but I could hardly do analysis. I will catch up with the market on Saturaday night.

361 Degrees Sold (2010-08-26)

I have sold 1361.HK @ 6.73, (+11%, I bought at 6.05 on 03-Aug) as I could not see the buying momentum similar to that in last two days. I doubted that corporate investors are selling their part using the "positive news" reported by BOA Merrill Lynch.

This is only my personal portfolio but not included in JPHK.

Beijing internship

Final examinations finally end and I would leave HK to Beijing for a winter internship in China Galaxy Securities. So I would not be able to update this blog for 3 weeks. Hope there would not be surprising news in these 3 weeks.
